Where We Are

The hub has recently moved to 111 Church Street – this is where donations can be dropped off and sorted by our dedicated team  to be sent where they are needed or through to the shop. The Charity Shop is an Aladdin’s cave of bargains – clothes, household & small electrical items all priced to sell to raise much needed funds for our nominated causes.

Donations for the younger members of our community are sent to our dedicated shop on Harehill Road. You can be assured of an abundance of quality preloved children clothes up to the age of 5 along with baby items, toys , books and gifts.

The Rochdale Resource Centre is a vital operation where support workers can collect essential goods for families in need. The stock is made from your kind donations and from the proceeds of the charity shops. Click here to find out more about our Resource Centre or here to read some of the heart warming testimonials from Support Workers.

Who We Support

Local Families In Need

actionforchildren.org.uk estimates there are 4 million children in the UK living in poverty. That’s 30 per cent of children! We can help by donating your unwanted items to families in need.

Some of The Many Local Charities & Groups We Support

This facility for children and teenagers with severe disabilities is second to none and mainly achieved by fundraising. We are so glad to be able to support them as much as we can, we left Rachel with a cheque and some sensory toys totalling £1000

Its now our 5th year of helping to raise funds and awareness of all forms of cancer, this year even more so having felt it’s full force with the loss of 2 of our staff.

Reuse Littleborough have sponsored the training tops for the two Littleborough Juniors under 10’s teams (Yellows & Blues) ensuring that all 22 players will be warm whilst playing this autumn and winter.

I know it’s probably getting like I’m always whinging on about getting new staff , 😳 But It’s getting serious now, At 9 am everyday we have to see who we have to help us, My hard core of staff work so very hard and put in a real shift, I’m so chuffed that we have been recognised as a charity ( took 5 years ) It’s great that all our customers think we have made a good move and it’s a fantastic place to shop, BUT it needs quality staff to help us move forward at a pace that will move us forward, We now occupy 4 sites 👍Our main shop on church sreeet is so busy with incoming donations and locals grabbing a bargain, The donations need sorting, not just to sell but to make sure that we send as little as possible to the ragman, ( we have 38 rails of clothing at £2 each ) our winter stock is buy one get one free, We send things to our resource centre and baby bank in Rochdale, We sort to pass on to other charities,Angie’s Angels , The homeless, ( JohnShaw ) Martin ( export to kids in Africa ) Schools and local groups, Disability items that we gladly pass on to local people in need, ( incontinence pads ) zimmers, wheelchairs and more, With so many books and DVDs we are happy to give them away for free, Our Resource centre in Rochdale is packed with furniture to help furnish a property from scratch ( no recourse to public funds 😳 ) and is so busy, We have our Baby Bank on Newgate that is packed with all things mother and baby, supporting midwives at Oldham Royal maternity ward , ( identifying mothers that will leave with nothing or very little, ) We have second time around on Hare Hill rd ,Run with a passion by Grace and Gary,It’s an Aladdin’s cave and a massive hit with mothers ,the pan lids and ankle biters , The only children’s charity shop for miles , We have 2 collection vans that need drivers and lifters, We can only do 4 days with one van that is not ideal and leaves people with furniture donations waiting, We plan to replace them both as the clean air tariff being introduced next year will cost us £30 per van per day , 😳 Have we created a monster?? YES 👍 but it’s a good monster that could be a fantastic resource, A press release this week to Rochdale on line was a big hit, now sent it to MEN, Rochdale Observer, BBC North-west , Granada reports and others, Also tapping into hotels that may be replacing beds, bedding and towels, Restaurants for surplus crockery, cutlery, glasses and mugs, Bed retailers , wholesalers and manufacturers,We are buying duvets and pillows ( best to give new if we can ) These people are in real need , but still have standards and dignity 😉 You get my drift 👍 This is just a selection of the crap floating about in my head 🤣 how’s your head ? 😉We could have youngsters repairing and up cycling furniture , I need to stop now 😉SO, help on the van , 🙏Sorting donations, 🙏Serving on the counter, 🙏Tuning TVs and audio 🙏Manning the Resource centre, 🙏Manning the Baby Bank,🙏Joining us as a trustee, ( with ideas of how we move forward)Still trying to move , Onwards and upwards 🙏🙏👍👍👍 ...
